-EVERNOTES (2009)
documentary performance
When the Notes app on my iPhone 3G (which I use to keep a log of my
everyday actions) kept crashing, I was forced to turn to another
application, which ended up being Evernote.
This program came with quite a few advantages. One of them was the
possibility for me to share my notes with the rest of the world at the
same time as when I add them to my account on the Evernote site (http://www.evernote.com/pub/sveng/notes).
On a WiFi connection or on my Mobile Internet network these notes are
constantly automatically added to the web; I do not even have to add
them myself (as was the case with Notes). If you forward a note to your
email-address, the note is suddenly presented inside a striking layout,
courtesy of Evernote. Its design gave me the idea of exhibiting these
daily notes in a gallery context, as documentation.
At the bottom of each Evernote email, it says: “Remember everything.”
