Proposal
A proposal for a research projects consists
of:
a clear text describing your project,
including a quite clear planning of the first 3 month working period
(central question, proposed research trajectory, initial proposed
methodology, what media would you like to work on,
...).
the relevance of this project to the
development of your practice.
the relevance of this
research project for the development of the practice or knowledge
production of the performance scene.
a proposal on how to develop and
communicate your research to your fellow participants, and
a wider audience (what formats you would like to explore, how you would
like to archive your trajectory and make it available to your
colleagues and the public, what possibilities you detect in working on
a publication, DVD, performance, series of lectures,
...)
some material illustrating your past
achievements: DVD's, photos, texts, reviews,
etc...
Your application is meant
to give us a clear insights in what you aim to achieve in your 12
month-working period, the relevance or your project, and your
willingness to open up your personal research to the critical platform
of the APT-participants.

can expect an answer or a question for further information to your
proposal one month after the deadline for applications has
expired.
Timing
The Call for
Projects for participants is organized three times a year. The evaluation and selection
of APT participants takes place under the
supervision of the artistic coordinator and the Artistic
Board: a small group of engaged theoreticians and artists who will be
involved in the training from a slight distance.

Selection
criteria
Once the deadline for the Call
for Projects is up, a selection will be made on the basis of the
following criteria:
- the added research
value of the project for the participant's
trajectory;
- the originality of the
project;
- the potential of the project to contribute
interesting material for performative theory or
practice;
- the probability that the research will
bring about a creative dynamics in the group;
- the
potential impact on a wider group of stakeholders (audience, academic
researchers, other artists, etc.).
The
artistic-pedagogical coordinator, the curators and the Artistic Board
will make the selection collectively. The Artistic Board is a group of
theoreticians and practitioners committed to following the running of
APT closely and to function as a critical sounding board. The members
might chose to act as occasional mentors to the participants and be the
privileged witnesses to the course developed by
APT.
Tuition fee
The tuition
fee for a cycle of one year, consisting out of three successive blocks,
is €1000.
